byHendo is the team behind SHAFT — the original ready-to-drink coffee-based cocktail — and a growing portfolio of premium RTD cocktails and draught products distributed across Western Canada. We're in a serious growth phase, building one of the most distinctive beverage brands in the country, and we're hiring a sales leader to help us put SHAFT and our cocktail lineup on more taps, menus, and shelves across Alberta.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a Sales Manager to own our Alberta territory. This is a high-impact, on-premise-focused role for someone who thrives in motion — building relationships in venues, hunting new accounts, executing programs in the field, and turning data into smarter sales plays. You'll be the face of the brand to bartenders, beverage managers, and operators across the province, and a key driver of our aggressive multi-year growth plan.

  • Edmonton (secondary)
  • Red Deer and rural Alberta (excluding mountain regions)

What You'll Do

Account Management & New Business

  • Build and maintain on-premise relationships across bars, restaurants, hotels, and venues; retail support as needed
  • Conduct regular reviews with existing accounts — protect and grow tap and shelf space
  • Develop and execute strategies to win new accounts in target regions
  • Maintain a CRM with current account intel and prospecting activity

Brand Activation & Programming

  • Coordinate and execute LTOs, menu placements, and promotional programs
  • Attend tasting events, festivals, and tradeshows — networking is core to the role and delivering a premium activation experience
  • Direct and monitor promotion agencies and brand ambassadors in market
  • Evening networking with accounts and customers is part of the job

Operations, Reporting & Strategy

  • Submit weekly orders and check-ins; keep inventory and demand aligned
  • Handle product delivery and empty keg retrieval when required
  • Review sales data and surface recommendations to hit targets
  • Participate in sales strategy planning, LTO forecasting, and goal-setting with ownership
  • Manage territory expenses within budget

What We're Looking For

  • Hospitality or beverage industry experience — on-premise sales, distributor rep, or strong bar/restaurant background strongly preferred
  • Empathy and relationship-building: you read people, build trust, and partner with accounts rather than push product
  • Active listener who asks more than talks
  • Resilient and self-motivated: you handle rejection, take coaching well, and perform without constant supervision
  • Product-obsessed: you'll learn our brands inside and out and speak about them credibly
  • Strong communicator who adapts style to the room
  • Goal-oriented: comfortable with quotas, KPIs, and clear performance targets
  • Tech-comfortable: confident with CRM tools and sales reporting
  • Valid Alberta driver's license and reliable vehicle — territory travel is required
  • ProServe certification (or willingness to obtain immediately)
  • Willingness to work evenings and occasional weekends for industry events
