Personal Injury Lawyer

1. EXPERIENCED PERSONAL INJURY LAWYER (AB & TORT):

JSM Law is growing and we are looking for an in-person, Personal Injury Lawyer to join our team.

The candidate would be familiar with BOTH Accident Benefits and Tort.

Responsibilities for the Lawyer include, but are not limited to:

· Assessing files based on medical evidence

· Meet with clients

· Drafting, reviewing, amending Pleadings

· Prepare Statements of Claim, Mediation Memorandum, trial records, and other hearings at the LAT, etc.

· Research, factum writing, correspondence with opposing counsel

· Attend and represent clients for Motions, Examinations for Discovery, pre-trials, trials, etc.

· Settlement of claims

· Other duties as required.

Qualifications for Lawyer

· J.D. or LL.B. with exceptional academic credentials;

· License to practice law in Ontario;

· Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario;

· 4+ years of experience in Personal Injury;

· Exceptional written and verbal communication and negotiation skills;

· Exceptional time management, organizational and prioritization skills;

· Ability to work independently and strong work ethics;

· Ability to communicate effectively with clients.

· Demonstrated knowledge and interest in personal injury law specifically plaintiff personal injury

· Client-centric focused with a proven passion to make a difference

· “Roll up the sleeves” workflow and practice approach

· Salary commensurate to experience
