Production Planning Officer

The Role

Dutch Industries is looking for an individual to join our planning team as a Production Planner. This is a full-time, permanent role working 40 hours per week (Monday – Friday).

Core Responsibilities

• Scheduling: Build master production schedules using sales data and demand forecasts.
• Inventory Control: Monitor raw materials and finished goods to prevent shortages or excess stock
• Cross-Functional Teamwork: Connect with procurement, sales, and warehouse teams to align supply chains and delivery dates
• Problem Solving: Connect with production manager to resolve equipment delays, material shortages, or sudden shifts in product demand
• Data Management: Use Manufacturing Resource Planning (ERP) software to log work orders, update timelines, and generate status reports

Tasks

• Work with sales team to create annual sales forecasts
• Create monthly and weekly production schedules based on annual sales forecasts.
• Create daily work orders based on weekly production schedules
• Work with purchaser to ensure all materials required are available for completing work orders
• Work with other staff to identify and handle defects
• Respond to daily sales orders
• Work is performed in a manufacturing shop and office environment

• Qualifications
• 1-2 years production planning experience.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
