INSTALLATION FIELD SUPERVISOR

The Installation Field Supervisor is responsible for overseeing installation and service contractors on Builder or Retail sites in Kitchener and the surrounding area.

Duties include

• Conduct inspections of installations; prepare and submit inspection documents to the office
• On-site supervision of installers and/or service contractors.
• Attend site meetings prior to commencement of deliveries when necessary.
• Attend all site safety meetings as a representative of AyA, when required.
• Promote safe work practices and communicate toolbox talks to all AyA installers and/or service contractors.
• Assess and authorize service submitted by contractors and/or amending budgets (when necessary).
• Order service parts (as required) from the tablet.
• Monitor and manage all back-ordered parts to ensure timely delivery and installation.
• Acquire substantial completion (which includes completing minor cabinetry touch-ups and adjustments) and obtain customer signature on the inspection form and collect completion slips from Builder(s).
• Do service work if required.
• Deal with builder’s site personnel regarding completion and/or services or escalated issues/complaints.
• Follow up with office (Project Coordinator) on any outstanding work for sites
• Adhoc projects as needed.

Education/ Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in installation, construction, millwork or related field
• Previous site supervision or coordination experience an asset
• Ability to read plans/blueprints is an asset
• Strong organization, problem-solving and communication skills
• Comfortable using a tablet/digital device for inspections, ordering and documentation
• Able to work independently and manage multiple sites and priorities
• Able to lift 40 lbs comfortably
• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required
• Working at Heights and WHMIS certification required
• Must be able to legally work in Canada

Work Schedule: Initially 32 hours per week, increasing to 40 based on workload.
