On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is seeking a Senior Product Manager for its Digital Experience team. The team is building its own digital tools, including new intranets and self-service features, using a modern agile delivery model with AI-assisted development.

This is not a project management role. We’re looking for someone who has truly owned products through their lifecycle and can bring product discipline to a team that is moving fast.

Responsibilities

  • Build and own a prioritized product backlog for the staff and student experience, grounded in data, stakeholder consultation, and user research.
  • Turn user problems into clear epics, features, and user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria that developers can deliver against.
  • Lead prioritization and make thoughtful trade-offs across competing needs, technical constraints, and team capacity.
  • Run and strengthen Scrum practices with the development team.
  • Define meaningful product measures and use evidence to judge whether changes actually improve the user experience.
  • Coach and mentor internal product staff, moving the team from coordinating work to managing product outcomes.
  • Work confidently across business, technology, and leadership stakeholders, bringing structure where ownership or priorities are unclear.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years in product management with demonstrated end-to-end ownership of digital products, from discovery and roadmapping through launch, measurement, and iteration.
  • Hands-on experience with user research, UX, or service design, and a track record of turning user needs into product direction.
  • Strong agile and Scrum background, including backlog management and writing user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience defining product metrics and making evidence-based decisions.
  • Comfort working in complex organizations with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience mentoring or coaching junior product team members.
  • Nice to have: startup or fast-paced product environment experience, exposure to AI-assisted development workflows, and Jira/Azure DevOps or similar tools.

Must be: based in the Okanagan, and able to be go onsite as required (Kelowna preferred)
