Reporting to the Regional Vice President, Maritimes, this role will work closely with an established team of approximately 8–10 estimators to help prioritize opportunities, coordinate bid activity, and bring together complete, competitive, and commercially sound submissions.
This is an opportunity for an experienced construction estimating professional who understands how complex bids come together and is ready to take on broader leadership responsibility within a well-established national organization.
Role Overview

The successful candidate will bring strong construction estimating experience, practical knowledge of mechanical and electrical contracting, and the ability to work effectively with an experienced technical team.
The role is less about personally completing every takeoff and more about bringing the pieces together- coordinating people, priorities, scope, risk, commercial requirements, and submission deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the work of approximately 8–10 estimators.
- Support the review and prioritization of tender opportunities.
- Coordinate estimating inputs and bring together complete bid submissions.
- Review key elements including labour, materials, suppliers, scope, proposals, bid bonds, contractual requirements, project risk, and delivery timelines.
- Work closely with the estimating team to ensure bids are complete, accurate, competitive, and commercially sound.
- Partner with Operations and regional leadership to support project handover and execution.
- Help strengthen estimating processes, communication, workflow, and consistency across the department.
- Build collaborative relationships with internal teams, suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, and industry partners.

- Practical knowledge of mechanical and electrical construction and the ability to participate confidently in technical and commercial discussions.
- Experience coordinating multiple contributors, priorities, and deadlines.
- Strong understanding of drawings, scope, labour, materials, supplier inputs, contract requirements, and project risk.
- Sound commercial judgment and the ability to assess opportunities from both an estimating and business perspective.
- A collaborative leadership style and the ability to work effectively with an established, experienced team.
- Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience within a general contractor or multi-trade estimating environment would be considered highly relevant.
- Degree, diploma, trade background, or equivalent combination of construction and estimating experience.
