Editor - Unscripted / Factual Television

Big Time Decent Productions is looking for an experienced Editor to join our post-production team on a full-time basis for an unscripted television series!

We're looking for someone with 2–3+ years of editing experience in factual/unscripted television, who is comfortable working with large amounts of footage, building strong storylines, and collaborating with a busy post team.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit raw footage into engaging, story-driven sequences for episodes and digital content.
• Collaborate with producers and the production team to develop storylines, structure scenes, and maintain narrative continuity.
• Review and organize footage, interviews, and supplementary media to identify key moments and compelling story beats.
• Incorporate interview footage, B-roll, graphics, music, and sound effects to enhance storytelling.
• Maintain continuity, pacing, tone, and consistency throughout each episode.

Requirements

• 2–3+ years of editing experience in factual/unscripted television
• Strong storytelling skills and ability to build engaging scenes
• Experience working with Avid Media Composer
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude
