Role Description
We are seeking a Hardware Engineering Lead for a full-time, on-site position based in Vancouver, BC. The Hardware Engineering Lead will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and optimization of hardware systems. Daily tasks include leading the development of cutting-edge hardware architectures, designing and testing circuit boards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align hardware solutions with broader project goals. This role also involves mentoring junior engineers and delivering product goals and timeline and ensuring the successful delivery of high-performance, reliable hardware systems to support robotics applications.
You will work directly with the CEO and management team to play a critical role in shaping the future of tactile intelligence for robotics and human data.
Qualifications
- 5–10+ years in hardware engineering (consumer electronics, robotics, wearables, or similar)
- Expertise in Hardware Development, Hardware Design, and Computer Hardware systems and robotic hardware platforms
- Proficiency in Circuit Design and Hardware Architecture with features of accuracy, reliability, durability and scalability in manufacturing
- Proven experience in managing hardware engineering teams and projects
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong understanding of robotics actuator and sensor systems including embedded systems, electronics design, multi-modality sensors
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Strong Plus
Experience with:
- Flexible electronics / smart textiles
- Wearables or human sensing systems, biomechanics, force sensing and actuation systems
- Robotics or human-machine interfaces
Familiarity with:
- ML-based hardware data processing and calibration
Experience working with cross-border sourcing and manufacturing ecosystems
