Job Title: Project Controls Coordinator
Location: Cambridge, ON | On-site
Job Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000

The Position
Reporting to the Director of Project Controls and Shared Services, the Project Controls Coordinator will provide ongoing review of project forecasts, schedules, and contract status; ensuring project management policies and procedures are consistently followed across the Eclipse project portfolio. Acting in an audit capacity, the incumbent will identify milestone attainment, cost variance, and commercial risks, bringing these to the attention of Project Managers for resolution. The incumbent will work with the management team and plant personnel to deliver the Eclipse Vision and the Eclipse Entrepreneurial Culture on time and on budget.
What You'll Be Doing
Technical
- Review projects bi-weekly, in accordance to the project controls audit checklist, and communicating results to Project Managers. While performing audit, correct minor inconsistencies or errors.
- Escalate to Senior Management any significate audit findings that could bring a project to red flag status in accordance to Project Operating Policy.
- Trend audit findings and recommend process changes to improve overall effectiveness of project control; including maintenance of procedures, templates, and checklists as required.
- Support the onboarding of New Project Managers and Project Coordinators, providing training/support on Eclipse PM Procedures and DB functionality.
- Maintain the company scorecard and work with BU division leads as well as Sales/Application departments to gather scorecard data and develop monthly report.
- Proactively recognize issues, initiate action, assist in problem solving and evaluate results on major issues.
Project Execution
- Ensure scheduled milestones are met.
- Ensure Eclipse policy and procedures are consistently followed.
- Notify the appropriate departments if milestones cannot be met.
- Ensure that company ISO standards are followed.
Travel
- Expectation of travel to vendor/supplier locations is less than 10% of time, however may be exceeded in exceptional circumstances to meet project needs.
Qualifications
Education
- Has successfully completed a University Degree or College Diploma in Engineering / Robotics Automation Technology, Business, or equivalent experience.
- Formal project management training through PMI or equivalent.
- Working level knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel.
Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in project co-ordination/project controls capacity involving projects > $5M contract value & 1 year in duration.
