About This Role

The role of an Employee Relations Senior Case Manager involves managing and fostering positive relationships between employees and the organisation. The senior case manager is responsible for addressing workplace issues, conflicts, and concerns while ensuring compliance with labour laws and company policies. You will be an expert on Employment Legislation and act as an initial escalation point for all colleagues. You will play a pivotal role in mediating disputes, conducting investigations, and providing guidance to both employees and management. Through effective communication and problem-solving, all Employee Relations Case Managers contribute to a harmonious work environment that promotes employee well-being and organisational success. The Senior Case Manager will have a role in supporting other team members’ knowledge development, as well as owning the most complex cases in the team.

These are some of the key ingredients to the role:

  • Apply employment standards and labour laws for legal compliance ensuring accurate validation of country specific regulations
  • Manage internal People policies and update policies to reflect localization requirements, maintaining quality standards
  • Establish meaningful relationships and communication within the People Team, including HRBPs, and between key stakeholders across departments assigned
  • Guide and support managers on actions relating to underperformance, flexible working, disciplinaries, probations and grievances/whistleblowing; support with documentation and best practices

What will you bring to the table?

  • Previous HR direct ER experience
  • Knowledge of Canadian Employment Law
  • UK Employment Law knowledge is a bonus
  • Ability to research and apply employment standards, labour laws, and ensure workplace application
  • Able to build and maintain good working relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Promote positive culture, support leaders, maintain SLAs for satisfaction
