Appliance Repair Technician

As an Appliance Repair Technician, you'll play a critical role in ensuring major appliances are repaired accurately, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You'll diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of appliances (Ranges, Washers, Dryers, Dishwashers, Refrigerators, etc.) while delivering exceptional service and helping create a positive customer experience.

Availability Requirements

• Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30am

• Flexibility to work Saturdays as required

What You'll Do as an Appliance Repair Technician

• Provide accurate and timely diagnosis and identify parts required, referencing the appropriate manuals, schematics and websites

• Strive to maximize a high percentage of repairs without replacing parts

• Coordinate with the Parts Team to obtain required components, replace defective parts, and return failed components as required

• Complete and maintain accurate paperwork and documentation, service records, and system date entries in a timely and organized manner

• Deliver high-quality repairs with a strong first-time completion rate while minimizing errors, rework, and repair turnaround times

• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional approach in all interactions

What We're Looking For

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent preferred; a combination of relevant education, training, and experience will also be considered

• Appliance Repair Diploma from a recognized technical college is an asset

• Certification in gas handling and experience repairing gas appliances is an asset

• Minimum of 2 years' experience diagnosing and repairing major appliances

• Strong technical knowledge of appliance repair and troubleshooting

• Must have strong communication skills to ensure efficient collaboration with customers and partnering teams

• Must have strong computer skills, high attention to detail and accuracy

Base pay range

Hourly pay rate: $19.80 - $20.54
