We are seeking an experienced, results-oriented Sales Representative - Woods & Plastics to accelerate growth within our Social Enterprises Division. This role is ideal for a sales professional who thrives on developing new business, managing key accounts, identifying market opportunities, and contributing directly to organizational growth.

The Opportunity

As a Sales Representative, you will take ownership of business development activities for our Woods & Plastics product lines, driving new customer acquisition while expanding revenue within existing accounts.

You will be trusted to build and execute a sales strategy, develop your pipeline, and serve as a key ambassador for Chrysalis in the marketplace.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales Growth

  • Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities across target markets
  • Develop and execute strategic territory and account plans
  • Build a healthy, sustainable sales pipeline through networking, referrals, cold outreach, and relationship development
  • Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting through closing and account management
  • Consistently achieve and exceed revenue and growth objectives

Account Management

  • Maintain and expand relationships with existing customers
  • Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and long-term account growth
  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences that drive retention and repeat business
  • Conduct regular customer meetings to understand business needs and uncover opportunities

Strategy & Market Intelligence

  • Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and customer requirements
  • Provide market insights that support business planning and product development
  • Contribute to sales strategies, performance metrics, and growth initiatives
  • Maintain accurate opportunity, activity, and forecasting data within the CRM

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with customer service, procurement, production, and leadership teams to ensure timely, accurate quotations and exceptional service delivery
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen customer satisfaction and business performance

What You Bring

Experience

  • 5+ years of proven B2B sales experience with a demonstrated record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
  • Experience developing new business while successfully managing existing customer relationships
  • Strong background in consultative and relationship-based selling
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial products, wholesale distribution, woods, plastics, or related industries is considered an asset

Skills & Competencies

  • Exceptional business development and prospecting capabilities
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills
  • Ability to build credibility and trust with decision-makers
  • Highly self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Experience utilizing CRM platforms to manage pipelines and sales activities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Business Central is an asset
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset

Qualifications

  • Sales training, professional sales certifications, or equivalent experience considered an asset
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract
  • Ability to travel up to 50% within the Edmonton region
  • Ability to travel up to 10% outside city limits
