Salary Range
$56,671.00 annually (with wage increments to a max of $63,636.00 annually). Salary and wage increments are in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager, Digital Experience, the Digital Content Advisor is responsible for developing, monitoring and delivering high-quality, accessible and user-centered digital content that supports an end-to-end student experience. The role focuses on translating complex information into clear, engaging and compliant digital content across Douglas College’s websites and digital properties. Working closely with marketing, communications, design, privacy, security and business stakeholders, the Digital Content Advisor ensures content meets business objectives while prioritizing user needs, preferences, and expectations.

WHAT IT TAKES Required Education and Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in digital media, arts, design, marketing, communications, journalism or a related field.
- A minimum of two years of experience in digital content strategy, UX writing or content design and web publishing.
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Working knowledge of HTML, XML and CSS, with the ability to work in the source code on web pages.
- Excellent digital writing and editing skills with a focus on clarity, accessibility and plain language.
- Strong understanding of UX writing, content design and user-centered design principles.
- Demonstrated knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive content practices.
- Experience with Drupal, Semrush, Google Search Console and Analytics is an asset.
- Ability to interpret business, user and regulatory requirements and translate them into effective digital content.
- Strong collaboration, facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working within agile and iterative project environments.
- Self-motivated, organized and able to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Additional Information
- This regular full-time (35 hours per week) position is available starting July 27, 2026. Regular hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm.
- Shift days and times may change depending on the Department’s need. Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required.
- The position is located at the New Westminster campus; however, successful candidate must be available for occasional work at the New Coquitlam campus.
