Job Summary and Requirements

This is for two (2) term position, working 75 hours biweekly until March 31, 2027. This competition may be used to fill an anticipatory permanent position.

About the role

The Project Coordinator manages complex projects and leads the development and delivery of priority initiatives that support organizational objectives, including coordinating interdepartmental efforts such as 2SLGBTQIA+ initiatives. The Project Coordinator provides information and strategic advice to the Director and prepares briefing materials for senior leadership, including the Deputy Minister and Minister. This role works collaboratively with diverse community partners and rights holders to advance equity for people of all genders and sexual orientations.

Essential Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in public or business administration, project management, gender/women studies, social sciences, or relevant education;
  • Experience coordinating and managing projects, including planning, tracking deliverables, supporting implementation and evaluation;
  • Experience conducting research and preparing briefing materials, reports, or presentations for senior leadership;
  • Experience supporting or advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives, including applying a gender-based or intersectional lens.

Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above will be equally considered.

  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with a client‑service focus;
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines;
  • Ability to build and maintain effective internal and external partnerships;
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, including writing for digital platforms;
  • Self‑motivated, able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
