Summary
This role is a Full-Time, In-Office position based at our Edmonton location. The Warehouse Worker will be a key team member that efficiently contributes to the warehouse operations by ensuring accurate receiving, storage, and shipping of goods. The Warehouse worker will also maintain a clean and organized work environment and adhere to safety protocols, ultimately contributing to the overall success of the warehouse team and the company as a whole.
Principal Accountabilities
- Must have a Forklift or Reach truck License/designation
- Loading and unloading courier and freight trucks
- Picking orders using the RF scanner
- Checking orders for accuracy
- Packing orders in boxes or on skids so that they are ready to ship
- Creating shipments and/or weigh bills for the couriers and trucks
- Receiving products using the RF scanners and Business Central ERP
- Finding a bin for the product on the shelves
- Communicating with both purchasing and CSR/sales reps for any discrepancies using both e-mail and phone when necessary
- Keeping your work area and the rest of the warehouse clean and tidy
- Labelling products and shelves within the warehouse
- Moving products to different areas in the warehouse
- Take out garbage and recycling
- Cutting tubing and wiring to correct lengths
- Inventory counts
- Cycle counts
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements And Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred
- Basic math and communication skills, attention to detail, ability to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks), knowledge of safety procedures, and the ability to lift and move objects.
- Must present and communicate in a professional manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Must be organized.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team environment to meet or exceed goals.
- A positive attitude is essential.
Key Working Relationships
- Collaborate with Warehouse Supervisors and managers to receive instructions, updates, and guidance on daily tasks and priorities.
- Work closely with fellow warehouse workers as part of a team to achieve daily operational goals.
- Work in coordination with Sales and Customer Service Representatives to fulfill customer orders accurately and promptly.
- Adhere to safe protocols and guidelines established by the Joint Health and Safety Committee and the Safety Officer.
