As a supervisor, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling retail environments of various sizes and leading your team.

Responsibilities For a Security Shift Supervisor

• Patrol critical areas to spot any suspicious activity
• Check identification and control access to secure areas
• React quickly to threats or incidents and document actions taken
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras
• Handle alarms and conduct on-site checks
• Partner with law enforcement during serious incidents
• Ensure the shift responsibilities and tasks are completed to quality

Qualifications For a Security Shift Supervisor

• Be authorized to work in Canada
• Hold a valid security license
• First aid certification
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift
• Ability to write concise reports
