This role requires bring strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles, and forecasting.
However, years’ experience is less important than industry experience and commitment to growth.
Day to day, you will:
Maintain and manage clients' financial records: transactions and gl entries
Reconcile bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers
Follow client-specific policies and processes
Support financial audits and tax preparation
Work fluently in accounting and spreadsheet tools (Quickbooks, Sage, Excel)
Stay current with accounting standards and financial regulations
From a management perspective, you will
Oversee bookkeeping, month-end close, and accounting processes
Build forecasts, cash-flow models, and ad-hoc reporting
Attend client calls and build the relationship
Identify financial problems and be able to resolve the issues
Employ analytical and forward-looking thinking
Turn complex financial data into clear, actionable recommendations
Collaborate with the team on bookkeeping best practices
Research and install standard operating procedures

Identify the problem, and as importantly, bring a solution
