Position Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced and dependable Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing parts, completing preventative maintenance, and performing moderate repairs on a variety of mobile and heavy equipment.

The ideal candidate is mechanically skilled, safety-conscious, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on the following equipment: LP Forklifts (5), Skid steers (4), Wheel Loader (1), Excavator (1), Scissor Lifts (3), and Boom lift (1)
  • Diagnose and complete moderate mechanical repairs on diesel-powered machinery
  • Source and order required parts and components for repairs and maintenance
  • Inspect equipment to identify mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
  • Maintain service records and repair documentation
  • Ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently
  • Work closely with operations to minimize equipment downtime
  • Follow all workplace health and safety regulations and company procedures

Qualifications

  • Valid Diesel Mechanic License
  • Proven experience repairing and maintaining mobile or heavy equipment
  • Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues efficiently
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues efficiently
  • Maintains good working relationship with vendors
  • Experience sourcing parts and managing repair needs
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively

Assets

  • Experience with construction, industrial, or fleet equipment

  • AZ/DZ license considered an asset
