WE ARE LOOKING FOR A Cook 2 (Intermediate Cook) to join our culinary team

This is an exciting role in applying your culinary passion and creating flawless dining experiences for our guests

What is expected of me in this role?

  • Demonstrates a genuine passion for culinary excellence through consistent execution of fundamental cooking techniques, preparation standards, and presentation quality.
  • Responsible for the preparation and production of all menu items across assigned kitchen outlets, ensuring food quality, presentation, portioning, and consistency are maintained.
  • Executes high-quality food production by reviewing recipes, preparing ingredients, cooking, plating, and following Hyatt culinary standards, specifications, and established procedures.

Maintains exceptional levels of cleanliness, organization, and professionalism, ensuring a sanitary, safe, and efficient kitchen environment at all times.

  • Ensures full compliance with food-safety standards, including proper food handling, sanitation, temperature control, HACCP documentation, and accurate storage, labeling, and rotation of all food items.
  • Demonstrates motivation, curiosity, and a strong willingness to learn by progressively developing the skills required to support multiple stations within the culinary department.
  • Collaborates effectively with colleagues, contributing positively to a team-focused kitchen culture while supporting smooth daily operations and service execution.
  • Maintains flexible availability to support departmental scheduling, business levels, and operational demands.
  • Possesses valid work authorization for Canada.

Experience

  • 2 years of previous line experience
  • Culinary degree or related hotel experience is preferred
  • Ability to guide entry-level cooks towards the most professional approach to work
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in the ability to safely and effectively operate standard foodservice equipment
