The bigger picture
We’re looking for a collaborative, strategic, and people-focused leader to come on board as our Manager, Financing Specialists. In this role, you'll lead a team responsible for delivering high-quality financial analysis and comprehensive credit writing that support sound lending decisions across our commercial and agricultural portfolios.
You'll serve as a trusted partner to Business Banking teams, Credit Risk Management, and senior leadership, ensuring strong underwriting practices, consistent credit quality, and timely financing solutions that support responsible growth while protecting portfolio quality.
Regina or Saskatoon is the preferred location, we are open to considering candidates at other Conexus locations across Saskatchewan.
How you’ll be spending your time
- Lead and develop a team of Financing Specialists responsible for commercial and agricultural credit analysis, adjudication support, and underwriting excellence.
- Ensure lending decisions are fair, consistent, well-supported, and aligned with organizational risk appetite and credit policy.
- Oversee the preparation and review of complex commercial and agricultural lending requests, including financial analysis, cash flow assessments, covenant design, security evaluation, and risk rating assignments.
- Monitor portfolio quality and emerging economic, market, industry, and regulatory trends to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Partner closely with Business Banking leaders and Business Advisors to support responsible sales growth and deliver value-added advice to business members.
- Provide coaching, technical guidance, and performance feedback to build a highly capable and engaged team.
- Ensure lending documentation, collateral requirements, and operational processes meet policy, regulatory, and compliance standards.
- Act as a subject matter expert for commercial and agricultural lending, supporting policy interpretation and consistent underwriting practices.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing credit processes, operational efficiency, turnaround times, and risk management practices.

The experience you bring
- Post-secondary education in Business, Finance, Economics, Agriculture, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in commercial and/or agricultural lending, credit adjudication, and complex deal structuring.
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience, including coaching, mentoring, performance management, workload prioritization, and quality oversight.
- Advanced knowledge of commercial and agricultural credit underwriting fundamentals, including:
- Financial statement analysis
- Cash flow and debt service assessment
- Sensitivity and scenario analysis
- Covenant structure and monitoring
- Security and guarantee analysis
- Risk rating methodologies
- Strong understanding of lending policies, documentation standards, regulatory requirements, and risk management principles.
- Demonstrated experience supporting sound credit decisions while balancing business growth objectives.
- Proven ability to lead change, solve complex business problems, and build high-performing teams.
Salary range
$91,030 - $130,040 with 17% Short Term Incentive Target
