Job Summary & Key Responsibilities

The Instructors are primarily responsible for delivering and coordinating the lab component of the class including lab preparation and instruction to undergraduate students, training and supervising teaching assistants, supervising undergraduate students, managing lab reports and lab grades. The Instructor may also assist with lecture support as required. This position reports to the Dean of the Faculty of Science through the Chair of the Department of Chemistry. This course runs from January to April 2027.

The physical properties of chemical systems at the level of atoms and molecules are examined. Topics include the quantum mechanical description of atoms and molecules, chemical bonding, experimental and computational methods for studying molecular systems, and the kinetics of chemical processes.

Qualifications/Requirements of Position

Applicants must hold a minimum of a B.Sc. in Chemistry and have completed at least two years of graduate studies in Physical Chemistry.
Demonstrated teaching experience in second-year university-level Physical Chemistry is required. Previous teaching experience in CHEM 2304 will be considered a definite asset.
