Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery and equipment
- Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and program PLCs, drives, and automated control systems
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment uptime
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical drawings
- Support equipment upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to support operational goals
- Follow all health and safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout protocols
Qualifications
Valid Ontario Electrical Trade Certification:
- Industrial Electrician (442A) and/or
- Construction & Maintenance Electrician (309A)
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with PLCs, automation systems, industrial controls, and drives
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with automated manufacturing or packaging equipment
- High-voltage or power distribution experience
- CMMS experience
- Forklift, Crane/Rigging, WHMIS, Working at Heights, Confined Space, or First Aid/CPR certifications
- Lean Manufacturing, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), or Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) experience
- Familiarity with predictive maintenance technologies
- Gas Technician 1 (G.1) certification
Working Conditions
- Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and moving equipment
- Physically active role involving standing, climbing, lifting, and confined space work
- Overtime and additional shift coverage may be required
