SOC 208: Inequality and Social Justice

This course introduces students to sociological perspectives on issues of inequality and social justice. It analyzes the origins and consequences of social inequalities and the mechanisms by which they are perpetuated and challenged. Position Requirements

• M.A. in Sociology or a related social science field required; Ph.D. preferred.
• Demonstrated competence to teach the course subject matter.
• Demonstrated successful experience in university-level teaching.

Physical Demands Pay Grade Faculty Sessional Salary Range As per URFA Collective Agreement Status Term Work Hours

This course is scheduled to be face to face in Swift Current (Great Plains) with remote sections. Mondays from 1300-1545. Instructors are expected to have one office hour per week.

Sessional Lecturers may have preparatory work to do before the start date and sometimes may have to deal with grading tasks after the termination date.
