IT Support Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented IT Support Technician to join our company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing computer systems and network infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of various operating systems and networking protocols to ensure optimal performance and security of our technology resources.

Duties

• Communicate effectively with users to identify, document, and address technical issues, both electronically remote and in person.
• Utilize user guides, technical manuals, and other resources to research and implement solutions to technical challenges.
• Diagnose, reproduce, and resolve technical problems reported by users in timely manner.
• Provide guidance to users to help them overcome technical difficulties when needed.
• Deliver support for small business systems, network operations, Printers , and internet-related issues.
• Maintain and organize a log of technical problems and solutions for future use.
• Work with a team to provide direction to other technical support staff, as needed.
• Monitor the performance of computer systems and networks.
• Provide problem-solving services to perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.
• Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet, troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Computer Technician or in a similar role within IT support.
• Familiarity with windows and Mac based operating systems.
• Experience with network monitoring tools like SolarWinds is preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills to effectively assist users with varying levels of technical expertise.
