Truck Service Manager - Specialized Fuel & Propane Equipment

Our client currently has an opening in their Moncton, NB branch for a Truck Service Manager . Unlike a traditional mechanical shop, they focus exclusively on custom assembly, mounting, and servicing of pumping and delivery systems for oil and propane trucks. They do not perform engine, tire, or brake work; the are the specialists for the "business end" of the truck.

This role will appeal to you if you are a hands-on leader with a high attention to detail who thrives in a demanding, technical environment and enjoys building long-term customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Industry Experience: Previous experience in the highly specific field of oil and propane truck equipment is a major asset.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead a small, technical team in a fast-paced environment.
• Business Acumen: Experience managing shop profitability (P&L), inventory control, and vendor relationships.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Transport Canada (TDG) and Measurement Canada requirements for fuel delivery systems.
• Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to manage customer expectations and resolve issues daily.
• Working Conditions: Ability to work under pressure and handle the physical/time demands of a busy service shop.

Compensation

• Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Benefits, vacation and matching RRSP
