Your opportunity

The Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy offers world class multidisciplinary undergraduate and graduate programs. We are home to exceptional faculty, experts and researchers from around the globe, and more than 50 academic centres, labs and programs. Our goal is to build a unique, world-renowned research, teaching and public engagement hub that shapes the contemporary fields of global affairs and public policy from within Canada. Our School brings together those who are passionate about global affairs and public policy to research, discuss and address the problems of a fast-changing world.

Under the general direction of the Director, Programs, the Undergraduate Assistant provides undergraduate program administrative support at the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy. Responsibilities include acting as the first point of contact for student general enquiries, maintaining student databases, updating official records and course information on student information systems, and assisting with the coordination of exams and room assignments.

Your responsibilities will include

Responding to enquiries within the defined scope of the role and redirecting as appropriate.

Maintaining course information on student information systems.

Providing detailed information on eligibility requirements, procedures and deadlines.

Obtaining course information and materials from instructors.

Liaising with stakeholders to coordinate space and resource requirements

Providing routine information on programs and events

Updating and maintaining records.

Generating reports.

Essential Qualifications

Advanced College Diploma (3 years) or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.

Minimum two years relevant experience in a post-secondary environment providing detailed academic information to students and faculty.

Relevant undergraduate program administration experience at a post-secondary institution.

Experience coordinating logistics for meetings and events.

Demonstrated experience and proficiency with student information systems ROSI, ROSI Express, and Degree Explorer.

Experience administering CUPE Local 3902 Unit 1undergraduate program procedures

Demonstrated advanced computer skills, including MS Office (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), databases, content management system or other website management system, and group scheduling software.

Excellent problem-solving, organizational and time-management skills.

Assets (Nonessential)

Experience working with the University of Toronto and Faculty of Arts and Science undergraduate practices and procedures, and the University of Toronto fees schedules.
