Our Brucejack Gold Mine, a high-grade underground mine in beautiful northern British Columbia, is located approximately 65 kilometres north of Stewart. Brucejack is a fly-in/fly-out operation with pick-up points across Western Canada, making it easy for people from different places to join us. Role Purpose

Join Newmont’s Brucejack Mine as a Mill Maintenance Electrician and play a critical role in maintaining the reliability, safety, and performance of mill electrical systems. You will troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain electrical equipment while supporting safe and efficient production operations.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on mill electrical equipment and systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, instrumentation, motor control, and VFD systems.
  • Inspect, test, and maintain electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Support high-voltage equipment and switchgear operations in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with planners and operations teams to maximize equipment availability.
  • Promote and uphold a strong safety culture, including compliance with electrical safety programs and procedures.
  • Provide daily updates on equipment reliability, maintenance activities, and operational issues.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

  • Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Electrician certification.
  • Minimum 5 years of electrical maintenance experience, preferably in mining, industrial, or heavy processing environments (industry experience).
  • Strong troubleshooting experience with motor controls, VFDs, electrical distribution systems, and process equipment.
  • Knowledge of high-voltage systems, switchgear, and electrical safety practices.
  • Familiarity with BC mining regulations and Canadian electrical standards (CEC, CSA Z462, M421).
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experienced in Underground Mill maintenance.

The expected salary range for this role is CA$63.35/hour. This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer extended to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s pay history.
