Estimator – Concrete Construction

Brosco Concrete is a growing concrete placing and finishing company serving commercial, civil, industrial, agricultural, and institutional projects. We are looking to add an experienced and motivated Estimator to our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing project drawings and specifications, completing quantity takeoffs, preparing competitive pricing, and working closely with our team, suppliers, contractors, and clients to help secure new work.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in construction estimating, concrete construction, project coordination, or a related field who is looking to join a growing company and play an important role in its continued growth.

Responsibilities

• Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documents
• Complete accurate quantity takeoffs for concrete projects
• Prepare detailed estimates and competitive pricing
• Review scopes of work, project requirements, and contract documents
• Obtain and review pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
• Prepare quotations and proposals for commercial, civil, industrial, agricultural, and institutional projects
• Identify project requirements, exclusions, risks, and potential cost impacts
• Work closely with project managers, site supervisors, suppliers, and customers
• Follow up on submitted quotations and assist with securing awarded work
• Maintain accurate estimating records and pricing information
• Assist with scheduling and project handover when required
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, builders, suppliers, and clients

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience in construction estimating, concrete construction, or a related field
• Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and project requirements
• Experience with quantity takeoffs and estimating software
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office/ Excel and estimating/takeoff software such as Bluebeam/ Planswift is a must.
• Experience with commercial, civil, industrial, agricultural, or institutional construction is an asset
