Facilities Maintenance Technician

Location: Edmonton, AB (8210 Yellowhead Trail NW)
Hours: Up to 24 hours per week, Monday-Friday, with additional days as needed

We are seeking a Part-Time Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance, repair, and smooth operation of Habitat Edmonton facilities, equipment, and organizational assets. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on problem solving, takes pride in keeping operations running efficiently, and wants to make a meaningful impact in their community.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance activities across Habitat Edmonton facilities and assets.
• Troubleshoot and repair building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, doors, locks, and fixtures.
• Coordinate specialized repairs with contractors and vendors as required.
• Assist with renovations, office moves, equipment installations, and new location set-ups.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and equipment servicing.
• Support facility planning, inventory management, and safe work practices across the organization.
What You'll Bring
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on facilities maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, alarm, sprinkler, and security systems.
• Experience developing and delivering preventative maintenance programs.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
• A collaborative, customer-focused approach and commitment to workplace safety.
