MANDATE
Responsible for the dietary, housekeeping, laundry and maintenance departments to achieve
high standards within the home and to maintain a safe, well-functioning physical environment, all
within the organization's policies, procedures, all applicable standards, legislation and
regulations. Direct reports include the Food Service Managers and Registered Dietitian who are
responsible the nutrition program for the home. Directly support the dietary managers with all
capital planning and purchasing. The Support Services Manager coordinates the Lodge’s
employee health and safety program, fire safety program, emergency preparedness and security
programs, and maintains acceptable compliance with all applicable standards.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Three-year college in civil engineering technology or a related field or a Red Seal Trade
Certification. Eight years of related progressive experience, including supervisory. Ability to
comply with changing regulations with respect to fire safety and infection control. Experience
with budget. Exchange complex information with contractors and Effective written, verbal,
listening and communications skills.
This position is evaluated at a Level 9 ($57.82-$70.27) per hour of the 2026 NUG Salary Grid. 37.5
hours weekly. Date of opening: as soon as possible.
