As a Shipper/Receiver at Atotech Canada Ltd., a subsidiary of MKS Instruments, Inc. you be responsible for supporting the effectiveness of Shipping/Receiving/Warehouse Department. This will involve the safe handling of all chemicals, safe operation of machinery including forklifts accurate entry of SAP information, and housekeeping and inspection as assigned.

Receiving Functions

  • Responsible for receiving all materials, both inventory and non-inventory, following established work practices.
  • Conduct inspections of all incoming materials for damage or other issues. Ensure accurate entry of receipt information (quantity, batch number, etc.) into SAP system.
  • Ensure accurate and timely storage of materials using the automatic put-away system.
  • Communicate any issues with incoming materials to Purchasing, QC, or Manufacturing promptly.
  • Handle receipt and unloading of bulk chemicals as necessary.
  • Complete all assigned inspections in accordance with Atotech requirements.
  • Perform re-labeling duties as needed.

Shipping Functions

  • Accurately pick the proper products, batch numbers, and quantities and prepare them for shipment in compliance with D.O.T. Standards.
  • Inspect outgoing goods for damage or missing hazard information.
  • Timely communication of any noted issues with products or materials to be shipped to management.
  • Ensure accurate entry of information into the SAP system as required.
  • Prepare shipping paperwork as needed.
  • Ship packages and other non-inventory items as required.
  • Perform re-labeling duties as necessary.

Skills You Bring:

  • Forklift driving license or substantial experience handling heavy loads safely and correctly is required.
  • Clear and legible reading and writing skills are essential.
  • Must demonstrate the capability to make responsible decisions.
  • Proficiency in safety procedures and housekeeping is essential.
  • Experience with WHMIS, TDG, HAZMAT, and Chemical handling are all considered an asset.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time.
  • Dedication to safety to mitigate hazards that may include heat, cold, fumes, strong magnets, confined spaces, lasers, microwaves, and vacuum/pressure systems.
  • Flexible and willing to work in very fast-paced environment where tasks and priorities may change often.
  • Excellent time management skills and commitment to meet deadlines.
