WGST 207 – Indigenous Feminisms

This class focuses on Indigenous women and feminist analysis, identity, activism and the interplay of gender, colonialism, racism and sexism on Indigenous women today. The parameters of Indigenous feminisms and its relevance to culture and community inside and outside of Canada are also examined. Position Requirements

The successful candidate must

  • hold a minimum of an MA in Women’s and Gender Studies, preferably a PhD;
  • have a record of effective teaching at the post-secondary level;
  • have experience managing classroom and online technologies used by the University of Regina (including UR Courses [Moodle])

The class is scheduled for Remote-Synchronous delivery on Tuesdays and

Thursdays 10:00 – 11:15.

Instructors are expected to have one office hour per week. Course Modality Remote-synchronous Course Dates and Time Tuesdays and Thursdays - 10:00-11:15 Duration (if Term/Temporary) September 1 - December 31, 2026. Sessional Lecturers may have preparatory work to do before the start date and sometimes may have to deal with grading tasks after the termination date.
