Nurse Manager, Citywide Community and Specialist Nursing Teams – Band 8A
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, motivated and visible nursing leader to join Aberdeen City Health & Social Care Partnership as a Nurse Manager within our Community Nursing Service. This senior role provides clinical, professional and operational leadership to Community and Specialist Nursing Teams, ensuring patients receive excellent quality nursing care across a range of community settings.
As Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for leading and supporting nursing teams across the city, providing strong clinical leadership, operational management and professional advice. You will work closely with senior nursing colleagues, Team Leaders, partner organisations and wider health and social care services to support safe, effective and sustainable community nursing provision.
This is a key leadership role within the senior nursing team. You will contribute to workforce planning, recruitment, staff development, clinical governance, quality assurance and service improvement. You will also support the implementation of national and local programmes of work, including staffing level tools, the ACHSCP Workforce Plan, and compliance with the Health and Care (Staffing) (Scotland) Act.
We are looking for a highly experienced registered nurse who can demonstrate strong leadership, sound professional judgement and the ability to influence, support and engage others. You will have current NMC registration, relevant post-registration qualification to Master’s degree level, line management experience, and knowledge of workforce planning, staffing level tools, Turas, appraisals and service redesign.
The successful candidate will be a confident communicator, able to work across professional and organisational boundaries, manage complex and sensitive situations, and support staff through change. You will be expected to act as a professional role model, provide expert nursing advice, represent community nursing services across the organisation, and deputise for senior nursing colleagues when required.
