SENIOR PROPOSAL WRITER

We are hiring a SENIOR PROPOSAL WRITER to join our Team based here in Ottawa.

You will be responsible for working with Nova’s resources to develop and submit persuasive and professional proposals that communicate the benefit of the services Nova provides.

Key Responsibilities

Proposal Management

• Oversee the proposal development efforts
• Develop proposal development timelines
• Work with Nova resources write specific content that addresses the stated requirements
• Coordinate the proposal review cycle
• Produce and submit proposal document(s)
• Maintain the proposal library

Content Development

• Draft the initial proposal document
• Edit the document based on content input from Nova resources
• Confirm the proposal is compliant with the stated submission requirements
• Capture and ‘filing’ proposal content boilerplate for future use

Client Interaction

• Consult with clients, through approved channels during the RFP process to clarify requirements and distributing responses to Nova resources supporting the proposal development effort

Team Collaboration

• Coordinate bid/no bid meetings with key Nova stakeholders
• Schedule, as necessary, meets with Nova resources with proposal development/writing assignments

Required Skills

• Organizational skills: Excellent ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines
• Communication skills: Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication abilities
• Project management: Experience with project management principles and software to track progress and manage resources
• Analytical skills: Ability to analyze data and past performance to identify areas for improvement
• Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders

Qualifications

• Five to Ten years of proposal development experience
• Strong communication skills
• Bilingual (English/French) would be an asset

(Salary range for this position: $50,000 to $80,000)
