Your Responsibilities

As part of Wilco's Construction Leadership Team, you'll be responsible for leading projects safely, efficiently, and successfully from mobilization through completion.

You'll:

  • Champion and promote Wilco's Safety and Environmental programs every day.
  • Lead and mentor crews while fostering a positive, high-performance team culture.
  • Plan daily work activities to maximize productivity and meet project schedules.
  • Coordinate manpower, equipment, subcontractors, and materials.
  • Work closely with Project Managers to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
  • Read and interpret plans, specifications, grades, and project layouts.
  • Identify and resolve field issues before they impact production.
  • Monitor production, quality, and costs while continually looking for opportunities to improve.
  • Maintain strong communication with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Train, coach, and develop crew members while identifying future leaders.
  • Ensure all work meets company standards, project specifications, and client expectations.
  • Complete daily reporting, safety documentation, equipment inspections, payroll, labor coding, and project administration using modern field technology.
  • Participate in project reviews and continuous improvement initiatives to help make every project better than the last.

Requirements

    • Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or Foreman (Civil Construction preferred)
    • Strong leadership, coaching, and mentorship abilities
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills
    • Experience managing crews, subcontractors, and multiple priorities
    • Strong understanding of earthworks, grading, underground utilities, or landscape construction
    • Ability to read construction drawings, grades, and survey information
    • Experience with GPS machine control, laser levels, or related construction technology is an asset
    • Comfortable using tablets, construction software, and digital reporting systems
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
    • Valid driver's license
