We are currently seeking a casual Life Skills Outreach Worker to join our Mental Health Substance Use (MHSU) team in Williams Lake, B.C.
Who are we looking for?
We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, resilient, and clinically skilled mental health professional with demonstrated experience supporting adults living with serious and persistent mental illness and/or substance use disorders within community-based settings. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in psychosocial rehabilitation, harm reduction, recovery-oriented practice, and trauma-informed care, with the ability to build therapeutic relationships while supporting individuals with complex biopsychosocial needs. The successful candidate will be confident conducting risk assessments, crisis intervention, outreach, and case coordination, and have experience collaborating within multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Success in this role requires exceptional communication, sound clinical judgment, strong documentation skills, and the ability to advocate for clients while fostering independence, community integration, and recovery. The successful candidate is adaptable, culturally safe, and committed to delivering person-centered care through outreach, community, and facility-based services, while maintaining effective partnerships with healthcare providers, community agencies, and social service organizations.

What will you work on?
The Life Skills Outreach Worker is a member of a multi-disciplinary Mental Health and Addictions Team providing a comprehensive array of services within a psychosocial rehabilitation framework to adults with serious and persistent mental illness and/or within a harm reduction framework for those with substance use problems/disorders and who experience severe challenges in daily living as a result. This position will provide these services offering a variety of rehabilitative and treatment modalities inclusive of outreach, community and facility care.
Scheduling Information
Shift times are from 08:30 to 16:30 hours. Days of work are Monday to Friday. This is a Casual opportunity. Casual means there are no guaranteed hours and work requirements can vary from 0 - 37.5 hours per week.
