Project Coordinator

About The Role

  • We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support the successful delivery of civil and road construction projects. Working closely with the Project Manager and field teams, you will coordinate daily project activities, ensure quality and safety standards are met, and assist with project planning, documentation, and reporting.
  • This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in construction, civil engineering, or project coordination who enjoys working in a fast-paced field environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager with day-to-day project coordination and execution.
  • Assist with project planning, scheduling, and tracking project progress.
  • Coordinate field activities with superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Implement and maintain the project's Quality Management Plan (QMP).
  • Conduct site inspections, quality assurance (QA), and quality control (QC) checks.
  • Prepare meeting minutes, project reports, safety statistics, and documentation.
  • Track project quantities, materials, and field progress.
  • Ensure engineering hold points and quality checkpoints are completed and documented.
  • Coordinate safety orientations and support compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide updates on project status.
  • Prepare and manage NCRs, RFIs, OFIs, and other project documentation.
  • Assist with cost tracking, budgeting, and project reporting.
  • Support survey layout activities and earthworks quantity tracking.
  • Maintain accurate project records, drawings, and document revisions.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in project coordination within civil, infrastructure, or road construction.
  • Strong understanding of roadway construction practices and quality management processes.
  • Knowledge of QA/QC procedures and project documentation.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office; SAP experience is an asset.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's licence and authorization to work in Canada.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of roadway construction specifications and standards.
  • PMP designation or Gold Seal Certification is considered an asset.
  • OFA Level 1 (or higher), Fall Protection, and related safety certifications are an asset.
