A family-owned restaurant in North Vancouver is seeking a freelance Social Media Manager to develop and execute a comprehensive marketing and social media strategy. The role focuses on increasing brand awareness, engaging the local community, and showcasing the restaurant’s unique offerings through creative content. The ideal candidate will have experience working with local businesses and a strong understanding of both digital marketing and social media trends. This position requires a hybrid work arrangement, with some on-site presence in North Vancouver.

Deliverables

• Develop a tailored social media and marketing strategy aligned with the restaurant’s goals and target audience.
• Create, schedule, and publish engaging content across relevant social media platforms.
• Monitor and analyze campaign performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
• Collaborate with the restaurant team to capture authentic content and highlight special events, menu items, and promotions.
• Manage community engagement, responding to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner.
• Stay updated on industry trends and local market dynamics to ensure strategies remain effective and relevant.

Requirements

• Proven experience in social media management and marketing strategy, preferably for local businesses or restaurants.
• Strong knowledge of major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.) and content scheduling tools.
• Excellent written and visual communication skills, with an eye for detail and creativity.
• Ability to analyze data and adjust strategies based on performance metrics.
• Familiarity with North Vancouver and the local community is highly preferred.
• Hybrid availability: must be able to work both remotely and on-site as needed.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
