A Little About the Position

Position: Material Handler

This is an exciting opportunity to join our production team at our state-of-the-art facility. As a Material Handler, you will play a key role in supporting manufacturing operations by ensuring materials are received, stored, moved, and delivered efficiently while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.

Job Summary

As a Material Handler, you will support production operations by receiving, moving, storing, and distributing materials throughout the facility. This role requires the safe operation of equipment and tools, inventory management, shipping preparation, quality inspections, and collaboration with multiple departments to ensure products are delivered efficiently and meet Latham's quality standards.

Some of What You Will Do

  • Receive materials and maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, storing, and tracking stock locations.
  • Pull and verify materials and supplies required for production orders.
  • Deliver materials and supplies to work centers to maintain in-process inventory.
  • Record material movements and inventory transactions accurately.
  • Return and restock approved production materials and supplies.
  • Prepare finished products for shipment, including packing, crating, loading, and securing products.
  • Document product shipments and maintain accurate shipping records.
  • Complete pre-use inspections and perform basic operator maintenance on material-handling equipment.
  • Support demolding activities.
  • Perform quality inspections, minor repairs, and buffing activities.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.

What You Bring to the Table (Qualifications)

  • Experience operating power tools in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Previous propane lift truck certification, or willingness to become recertified.
  • Telehandler certification is considered an asset, or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Basic computer skills and data entry experience.
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and product quality.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze situations and make sound decisions.
  • Knowledge of safe work practices and procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Proven reliability and strong attendance record.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
