Position: Yard Hand

Job Summary

As a Yard Hand, you will play a key role in supporting our fiberglass pool manufacturing and shipping operations. Working primarily outdoors, you will help organize and maintain yard and staging areas, move products safely throughout the facility, and prepare finished pools for shipment. Responsibilities include loading and unloading trucks and trailers, operating material handling equipment, assisting with inventory and product staging, and working closely with the yard, crane, outfitting, and shipping teams to ensure products are prepared and delivered efficiently.

The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, take pride in producing high-quality work, and thrive in a team environment. This position requires the ability to work safely around heavy equipment, cranes, telehandlers, and forklifts while performing physically demanding tasks in varying weather conditions. Experience in fiberglass manufacturing is considered an asset.

Some of What You Will Do

• Organize and maintain safe, clean, and efficient yard, storage, and shipping areas.
• Work as part of a team to manufacture and prepare fiberglass pools for shipment.
• Move finished pools from production to staging areas using yard and crane equipment.
• Assist with loading fiberglass pools onto delivery trucks and trailers.
• Support outfitting and detailing activities to prepare pools for customer delivery.
• Conduct inventory checks and ensure accurate product staging.
• Operate equipment and tools such as pressure washers, caulking guns, electric buffers, forklifts, and other material handling equipment as trained.
• Assist shipping and receiving teams with daily logistics operations.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

What You Bring to the Table

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Dependable, reliable, and demonstrates a strong work ethic.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Experience operating forklifts, telehandlers, cranes, or other material handling equipment is an asset.
• Fiberglass manufacturing experience is considered an asset.

Working Conditions

• Majority of work is performed outdoors.
• Regular exposure to varying weather conditions, dust, noise, odors, and fumes.
• Frequent standing, bending, reaching, stooping, overhead work, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Working around heavy equipment, cranes, telehandlers, and forklifts.
• Required PPE includes safety glasses, hard hat, gloves, protective outerwear, and safety footwear. PPE will be provided, excluding safety shoes.

Salary Range: Competitive hourly wage based on experience and qualifications. Starting pay for this role will vary based on location, knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
