Litigation Support Services Clerk - Edmonton
Our firm is looking for a Litigation Support Services Clerk. Reporting directly to the Litigation Support Services Manager, this is a role where you will work with a variety of practice groups within the firm supporting the Edmonton Litigation Support teams. This position will be an in-office position in our Edmonton office.
You will understand the importance of confidentiality in a professional setting and have exceptional attention to detail. We place great value in a candidate’s ability to recognize the importance of team work to participate in facilitating a culture of collaboration.
Duties + Responsibilities
- Administration of all active databases and project ticket system
- Opening and maintaining of databases, including data management and tracking
- Managing and organizing incoming electronic evidence
- Unitization of client records and loading, indexing of same into Casepoint cloud platform
- Exporting data from Casepoint platform, including generating database load files and/or PDF production sets
- Interacting with outside entities (such as clients, vendors, and other law firms) to gather information or coordinate activities as needed
- Communicating regularly with Lawyers, Paralegals, and Legal Assistants in a professional manner
- Tracking and recording time, and
- Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications + Skills
- Legal assistant diploma or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 1 year of litigation support experience
- Advanced computer knowledge with an aptitude for technical software programs
- Knowledge of litigation process at all levels of Court
- Team player, cooperative, flexible, and professional
- Strong attention to detail and superior time management and organizations skills
- Ability to prioritize and coordinate activities in a timely manner
- Ability to work to deadlines and maintain accuracy while working under pressure
- Normal weekday office hours (35)
- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
