DZ Residential Driver/Loader
GFL - Sewer Technologies Division
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Manual Side-Load OR Rear Pack recycling collection truck on assigned residential routes.
- Perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections and complete all required daily documentation
- Collect residential recycling and waste in accordance with route and safety standards
- Operate hydraulic and compaction systems using proper techniques to prevent equipment damage
- Report mechanical issues, safety concerns, or incidents immediately
- Maintain route productivity, service quality, and customer service standards
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies, PPE requirements, and traffic regulations
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and professional company representation
- Work collaboratively with Helpers and Supervisors to support efficient operations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Key Requirements
- Valid Ontario DZ (or higher) driver’s licence with clean Abstract and CVOR
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience (or accredited training)
- Ability to safely operate collection vehicles and hydraulic equipment
- Ability to meet safety-sensitive position requirements
- Reliable attendance and flexibility for overtime/early start schedules
