Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a Manual Side-Load OR Rear Pack recycling collection truck on assigned residential routes.
  • Perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections and complete all required daily documentation
  • Collect residential recycling and waste in accordance with route and safety standards
  • Operate hydraulic and compaction systems using proper techniques to prevent equipment damage
  • Report mechanical issues, safety concerns, or incidents immediately
  • Maintain route productivity, service quality, and customer service standards
  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies, PPE requirements, and traffic regulations
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and professional company representation
  • Work collaboratively with Helpers and Supervisors to support efficient operations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Key Requirements

  • Valid Ontario DZ (or higher) driver’s licence with clean Abstract and CVOR
  • Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience (or accredited training)
  • Ability to safely operate collection vehicles and hydraulic equipment
  • Ability to meet safety-sensitive position requirements
  • Reliable attendance and flexibility for overtime/early start schedules
