Senior Project & Branch Manager
Position Overview
- We are seeking an experienced Senior Project & Branch Manager to oversee the overall operations, performance, and growth of a branch location. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, this role is responsible for managing revenue, profitability, staffing, customer relationships, and operational excellence.
- The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience within the construction, restoration, or insurance industry, with a proven ability to manage teams, oversee projects, drive financial performance, and deliver exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Leadership
- Oversee daily branch operations, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Lead, mentor, and develop project managers, supervisors, and support staff.
- Set performance expectations, monitor results, and implement improvements when required.
- Coordinate collaboration between departments including operations, finance, sales, marketing, and administration.
- Conduct regular operational meetings to review performance, goals, and business initiatives.
- Participate in on-call rotation and support emergency service coordination when required.
Financial Management
- Manage branch financial performance, budgets, forecasting, and operational controls.
- Monitor revenue, profitability, invoicing, accounts receivable, and project performance.
- Review and approve project and overhead expenses.
- Support collection efforts and financial reporting processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve branch profitability and operational efficiency.
Project Management
- Oversee residential, commercial, and industrial projects to ensure quality, compliance, and profitability.
- Support Project Managers with project planning, estimating, scheduling, and issue resolution.
- Review project budgets, contracts, timelines, and performance.
- Ensure required documentation, permits, approvals, and completion certificates are obtained.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, insurance representatives, subcontractors, and vendors.
Human Resources & Team Development
- Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and employee development initiatives.
- Conduct interviews and participate in staffing decisions.
- Coach, mentor, and provide performance feedback to employees.
- Support employee evaluations, development plans, and workplace initiatives.
- Promote a positive, safe, and accountable work environment.
Business Development & Marketing
- Identify opportunities to grow business relationships and increase workflow.
- Support marketing initiatives, networking activities, and industry events.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in construction, restoration, or insurance-related industries.
- 4+ years of project management experience.
- 4+ years of leadership or branch management experience.
- 3+ years of estimating experience.
- Experience with estimating platforms such as Xactimate and/or Symbility.
- Strong understanding of project financials, budgeting, and profitability.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Google Workspace).
- Post-secondary education in Project Management, Business Management, Construction Management, or a related field is an asset.
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate a company vehicle.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and participate in on-call rotations when required.
- Police Information Check (PIC) required.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to work in various job site environments, including tight spaces.
