Job Summary
Vivacity Technologies is a tech company in interior British Columbia delivering SaaS solutions and specialized IT consulting services. We are seeking a client-facing Senior IT Consultant to deliver strategic IT advisory and hands-on project execution for our public sector and First Nations clients across British Columbia. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will serve as a primary vCIO (Virtual Chief Information Officer), lead IT project manager, and trusted advisor translating complex technical landscapes into clear business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Client Delivery & vCIO Services
- Act as primary vCIO for key clients, developing multi-year IT roadmaps, digital transformation strategies, and capital budget plans.
- Conduct IT assessments, cloud readiness reviews, and infrastructure/cybersecurity analyses.
- Manage and execute complex IT projects from inception to completion on time and within scope.
Account Management & Growth
- Build trust-based relationships with municipal leaders, regional district staff, and First Nations administration across Interior BC.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders and community councils.
- Identify organic expansion opportunities within existing client accounts to support practice growth.
Qualifications & Skills
What We're Looking For
- Experience: 4–6+ years in IT consulting, senior systems administration, or technical project management.
- Sector Context: Demonstrated experience working with municipal public sectors and/or First Nations organizations in British Columbia.
- Technical Proficiencies: Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), networking, and cybersecurity frameworks.
- Location: Ideally interior BC resident (or willing to relocate) with ability to travel for periodic on-site client meetings.
- Cultural Competency: High level of respect and understanding for the unique governance structures and priorities of First Nations communities.
