About The Job

In accordance with established vision and values of the organization, within the context of client-centred care, and in accordance with established standards of professional practice, policies and procedures, this position works in a team based environment and under general supervision of the Operations Supervisor, Professional Practice Leader or other designated personnel performs a variety of routine and/or complex tests utilizing manual procedures and automated instruments within the laboratory.

The Technologist performs technical work involved in the Molecular Microbiology Program. The Technologist performs nucleic acid amplification testing (NAAT) on clinical specimens, evaluates and verifies results, prepares related reports and performs notifications as required.

Field of practice for this position is: Microbiology

This is a Relief Full Time (1.0) position.

Shifts of work will be scheduled rotating days and evenings.
