Job Title: Intermediate Procurement Specialist (Supply Specialist)
Location: Ottawa, Ontario – On-Site (5 days/week)
Duration: 4-Year Contract + 1-Year Option
Security Clearance: Must hold a valid Government of Canada Secret Clearance (active at time of submission)
Controlled Goods: Must be eligible to work on projects involving Controlled Goods. Active Controlled Goods status is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Our client, a federal government organization within the defence sector, is seeking an Intermediate Procurement Specialist (Supply Specialist) to support materiel management, procurement planning, logistics, and inventory operations within a secure operational environment. The successful resource will play a critical role in supporting the management, distribution, replenishment, monitoring, and forecasting of materiel across a complex national organization.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist with procurement planning activities and prepare procurement plans for approval
- Support logistics and supply management functions, including stock transfers, inventory monitoring, and release of stocked items
- Manage procurement and supply documentation within DRMIS and RDIMS
- Analyze inventory usage and provide recommendations regarding replenishment, distribution, disposal, and repair forecasting
- Monitor stock movement trends and support material management activities using DRMIS
- Prepare supply requisition documentation and support procurement actions
- Plan and coordinate material provisioning and distribution between depots and operational locations
- Review and action priority demands for internal stakeholders
- Process stock movements and monitor inventory levels across multiple locations
- Support cataloguing and material data management activities
- Respond to stakeholder inquiries related to inventory, materiel movement, order status, and supply support
- Monitor maintenance, repair, overhaul, and equipment management activities
- Prepare reports and recommendations to support operational decision-making
- Provide knowledge transfer and mentoring support to new personnel as required
What You Must Bring to This Role
Mandatory Requirements
- Active Government of Canada Secret Clearance (must already in place)
- Fully bilingual in English and French (oral and written). Candidates who are not fully bilingual cannot be considered.
- Minimum twenty-four (24) months experience within the last forty-eight (48) months procuring goods and/or services on behalf of the Federal Government of Canada
- Minimum twenty-four (24) months experience within the last forty-eight (48) months using ERP systems such as SAP or DRMIS to analyze inventory and provide recommendations regarding distribution and replenishment
- Minimum forty-eight (48) months experience providing logistics and supply support, including inventory management, stock records, usage reporting, movement tracking, and material audits
- Minimum forty-eight (48) months experience in at least four of the following:
- Stock transfers
- Material requirements planning
- Inventory management
- Supply chain management
- Inventory reporting
- Stock level maintenance
- Monitoring stock movement trends
- Ability to qualify as an Intermediate Procurement Specialist (TSPS Level 2)
- Valid educational credentials supporting the TSPS qualification criteria
- Ability to work on-site in Ottawa throughout the engagement

Work Location

Defence sector experience is highly relevant
DRMIS, SAP, supply chain, procurement, inventory management, and materiel management experience are strongly sought
Long-term 4-year contract opportunity with potential extension
