Responsibilities

  • Prepare layouts, cut and shape metal components, and assemble finished products using tools, heavy duty machines, and welding processes.
  • Work with engineering drawings, sketches, or original parts and, if required, produce accurate working drawings or sketches or components.
  • Fabricate and repair a range of tools and equipment.
  • Use of manual and/or power operated tools and machines relevant to metal fabrication and forming.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum two (2) years of metal fabrication experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Ability to become proficient in interpreting work orders, mechanical drawings, sketches and written instruction and record work done.
  • Demonstrated safe work habits and adherence to safety regulations and practices on a sustained basis.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
