The Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring smooth workflow and operational efficiency. This role includes developing and mentoring team members, monitoring sales performance, and co-managing both sales staff and merchandisers. It is a hands-on position that demands a strong attention to detail and a proactive leadership approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise all warehouse operations including inventory control, logistics, shipping, space management, and customer service.
  • Monitor sales performance and collaborate with sales and merchandising teams to drive revenue growth.
  • Develop and manage staff schedules to meet customer demands while optimizing workflow and minimizing overtime.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and tools, ensuring timely maintenance and operational readiness.
  • Establish and monitor operational goals to ensure peak warehouse efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Design and implement systems for product handling, storage, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping.
  • Promote and enforce a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to company standards and safety protocols.
  • Provide delivery support as needed to ensure merchandise is distributed accurately and on time.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support branch operations.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Proven ability to lead, train, and recruit staff effectively, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with experience operating a 5-ton truck; comfortable supporting delivery operations when needed.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with a proactive approach to solving operational challenges.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain and warehouse management principles, including inventory control and distribution logistics.
