Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Audio Visual Account Manager role based in Winnipeg, MB. The Audio Visual Account Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships, identifying AV solutions that address customer needs, and managing the sales cycle from initial inquiry through to closing and follow-up. Day-to-day activities include meeting with prospective and existing clients, preparing proposals and quotations, coordinating with design and technical teams, and overseeing project timelines to ensure successful delivery. The role also involves monitoring market trends, attending industry events as needed, and providing ongoing support to clients to foster repeat business and referrals.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in account management, sales, or business development, ideally within audiovisual, technology, or related industries.
  • Strong customer relationship skills, including consultative selling, needs analysis, and the ability to present AV solutions clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of professional audiovisual systems, such as displays, projection, sound systems, control systems, and videoconferencing solutions, with a willingness to learn and stay current.
  • Solid organizational and project coordination skills, including managing multiple opportunities, tracking details, and collaborating with technical and operations teams.
  • Effective communication skills in en_US, both written and verbal, with the ability to prepare proposals, documentation, and client correspondence in a clear and professional manner.
  • Proficiency with standard business software (e.g., CRM tools, email, spreadsheets, and presentation software) and comfort using digital collaboration platforms.
  • Ability to work on-site, visit client locations as required, and occasionally support events or installations outside regular business hours when necessary.
  • Relevant post-secondary education in business, communications, technology, or a related field is an asset; equivalent experience in AV or technical sales will be considered.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local client visits are preferred.

· Managing an assigned territory that includes existing clients and prospects.

· Responsible for managing several accounts and often being the face of the company to many clients.

· Call on new prospects in their territory, to identify new quality opportunities for the sale of Inland AV products and services

· Represent Inland AV at trade shows and other events

· Consult with Inland AV Systems Design team to assist in developing AV systems

· Develop AV system and component quotations

· Deliver quotations and RFP’s

· Conduct: site inspections, consultations, sales proposal presentation and subsequent discussions and negotiations

· Maintaining updated knowledge of company products and services.

· Keep records of client transactions

· A minimum of 2 years of sales experience

· Audiovisual sales experience, selling IT, or telephony based products

· Valid driver’s licence

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to build rapport and collaborate with others within the company and externally.

· Good knowledge of Word and Excel

· Basic understanding of blue prints and line diagrams

· Post-secondary education an asset

· Industry related designation (CTS or other in related field) an asset
