About the Role

The General Manager (GM) is a key leadership position responsible for the overall performance of our dealership across all departments: sales, service, collision, parts, and finance. This hands-on role demands a strategic mindset, strong business acumen, and a passion for leading people. You will be tasked with driving profitability, enhancing customer satisfaction, and spearheading growth in a close-knit market where family values, integrity, and transparency form the foundation of our success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all dealership departments, ensuring strong operations, performance, profitability, and alignment with business goals.
  • Develop and execute strategies that support growth, customer satisfaction, and long-term success.
  • Lead, coach, and develop department managers and employees, setting clear expectations and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Build an exceptional customer experience by maintaining high service standards and addressing concerns effectively.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee development while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
  • Build strong relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, and community partners while representing the dealership positively in the community.
  • Ensure the dealership facility is safe, clean, well-maintained, and welcoming for customers and employees.

What You Bring

  • 5–7 years of progressive automotive dealership management experience with a proven track record of success.
  • Comprehensive understanding of dealership operations across sales, finance, service, parts, and collision.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to inspire teams.
  • Financial acumen and analytical ability to drive profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Proficiency with dealership management systems and related software.
  • Adaptability and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Availability to support operations as needed, including occasional weekends and emergency situations.
  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Management, or a related field is preferred.
